You have been asking for it and we finally found it- a home that can sleep eight! The Gallery House was lovingly built by its owner in the 1970's. He is a multi-talented man who had many interests which show in the details of this home. He has a love for nature which can be seen in the many black and white landscapes hung throughout the home (which he developed in his own darkroom). There are mementos from his travels around the world and many of the pieces of furniture in the living area were handmade in his workshop.
Located 2 miles from downtown, this home is surrounded by trees and natural landscaping. It feels like being in the woods rather than the nice, older Big Valley neighborhood where it is located. The living room has plenty of natural light from the large picture windows overlooking the oaks and native plants on the back of the property. Warm yourself in front of the propane log fireplace (home also has heat and ac). The kitchen and dining area have wooden cabinets made by the owner and the original tiled countertop. The dining room has a slider out to the large, new outside deck.
The master bedroom has a queen bed and views of the wooded backyard. The shared bathroom was just completely remodeled and has a tiled corner shower. Down the hall is the second bedroom, with high ceilings and a full bed.
The hall leading downstairs is highlighted by photography and a stained glass piece in the large picture window. The large, third bedroom was recently remodeled. It has two twin beds and a queen. The bathroom with original tile is just around the corner.
